Spring Break
Winter term has been too long. You have worked hard and are deserving of a much needed break. So what are you doing for Spring break? If you're going to be outside, you're probably going to need gear. Rent it from the Outdoor Program and save money on equipment. Rivers will be flowing, snow will be falling... the possibilities are endless!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

As of this time (9:30 AM on March 1st), Mt. Ashland has received over 70 inches of snow in the past 10 days. In case you're kind of mathematically challenged like myself, I busted out a calculator and did the tough equation: 70 inches is 5'10" of snow. What is more amazing is the amount of snow in the actual town. Folks who have been here for years have said that this is the most non-stop snow action they've seen in town... EVER.
Words of wisdom: Take advantage of it. You ain't going to have a storm like this next year, the year after, or the year after that. So, go outside, dance in the snow, make snow angels, and for heaven's sake go skiing or boarding!
If you are going back country, be safe and cautious. Stop by the Outdoor Program's office to get the information you need, equipment, or just a hug. It's snowing, baby, and we are loving it.
